I have to say the reflection of the sun in the water makes a perfect leading line. This allows my eyes to follow the ripples in the water but always have a grounding point. |

I do have to agree with the others this image falls flat. |

I like the BW it adds sense of innocence and fun to the picture. I also think color would have been a distraction. Great capture and timing of the waterspouts. |

I like your version. The dark across the lake acts as a stop for your eyes. It has a personality all its own. |

Great job! You bring me into the picture and my eyes rest right in the middle of the sunlight mountain. I can almost see myself right there. I am wondering about maybe leaving off the vignette because IMO my eyes keep wanting to go to the dark at the bottom of the photograph and I think it distracts just a little from the main character which is the sun on the mountain. |

Jeffrey,
I'm glad you took Paul's advice. The dehazed photo makes the Great Wall pop. You've shown just how massive the wall is and I love the leading line that it makes. |

Thank you.
This was my first attempt at lightning. I actually bought a lightning trigger by MIOPS so it triggers once it senses light.
As for my SS I was doing about 20secs but that was capturing to much lightning. Most of the lightning was cloud to cloud, I'm waiting for the cloud to ground strikes. A friend of mine who does a bunch of lightning pictures said 1 or 2 secs is good but that is daytime shooting, so truthfully the 3.2 was just a number I thought would work. |

It was really my first attempt at lightning, and it was completely dark so I used the higher ISO as I am finding my R7 doesn't work well in night photography. |
