Stark and majestic at the same time. I love this picture. It makes me want to sit and wait for a deer or moose to walk through it.
On a side note. Do you ever frame your work? The first thing the photograph screamed at me was put me on a wall and make me a triptych. I hope you don't mind I split them up in PS the way I would do it.

Thank you.
As for the color cast. I myself like it. When I shoot anything I use AWB. I like to let it look natural to the camera. I think I'm making sense. I will leave the cactus in the picture. |

Thank youI had thought about getting lower but to be honest I was afraid of falling and not getting up again. Plus as a SoCal gal it was 32 degrees and I'm a baby lol. |

I have to agree with Paul the Topaz package is worth it. I use it especially when using my long lens.

Thanks. It is a rare occurrence for sure. I might try and clone out all the footprints, if I submit it somewhere.

When I look at this I'm drawn to the reflections in the water. I think the BW brings a depth to the photograph. I see a pensive picture. |

Before I even saw your description my first thought was, I like moody. I am wondering if you need that much water in the foreground. IMO the dark stretch of water might be a good place to crop. I love the mist in the background and agree BW makes the picture. |

I think something is missing with the crop. On my screen the geese seem a little soft, this could be because of how much you had to crop in. I know you wanted a close-up but IMO it loses some context with the close in crop. I hope you don't mind I adjusted the crop used a clone tool to take out some of the geese and ran it through Topaz AI. The background seems to add more context. |

As always, your pictures have so much depth to them in many ways. Here's a question for you. Can a photo be warm and cool at the same time? For me that is what this picture has. The subtle greens and brownish reds bring the warmth to the picture and the curtain of white water plus the mist brings the coolness to the picture. |
