Great picture for drawing me in. The shadows and denseness of the ground cover makes me feel like I am there and can even smell the forest. My eyes are drawn up to the sun. |

Thank you so much. One thing I have to learn is to experiment with different settings when I am taking pictures. I can't be one shot and done. |

I never mind an edit on my photos it is always good to see someone else's viewpoint. This crop does solve the view of the road but gives me a feeling of claustrophobia. |

Thank you. I also like my original but I'm trying to stretch my editing skills and understanding what happens if you try this.
I'm looking forward to sharing Alaska. This is the first time we are spending a full 3 months there. |

Thank you. I think the reason I find the waterfalls on our trips is I've always been drawn to the water. This summer I will try and take more than one shot or setting of a scene, it will help me develop more patience. We are headed to Alaska for 3 full months, and I can't wait.
I checked group 96 and I see what he did that is an interesting effect. |

Your B&Ws inspire me. I like how you got off the beaten path. I am curious does the snow on the roof look blown out. Have you thought about adding texture to the snow on the roof? |

I really enjoy your pictures and the compositions you do. This draws my eyes in at the top with just the hint of pink in the clouds, I pass by the mountains and settle the line of open ice and rock at the bottom. My eyes then travel back up from the bottom. It makes me cold and warm at the same time. |

I like the person in the foreground, for me, he works as an anchor point. I also think he adds perspective to the photo makes you realize just how large the rock is. My eyes are drawn from surfer to rock to water. In my opinion it looks like you pinked up the sky and I prefer the sky in the original. For me the birds on the rock are a small distraction. I think it might have been more of a distraction had you not had the surfer in the picture. Great editing. |
