Thanks for the suggestion, Andy. There may be lightening latitude available. I'll give it a go when I'm able to do so. |

Kelly,
Handheld at 1/25s is quite impressive! Good story-telling image. |

Thanks Kelly,
I did not use a filter for this image. Generally I use a CPL in situations where glare might be an issue, for instance gleaming chrome on automobiles or light bouncing off of rivers and streams. I use a V-ND filer when I need to slow down the shutter speed to capture silky water falls and sometimes to blur cloud movement. |

Thanks Ed, actually I did lighten the shadows but I didn't want to go too far with that lest it begin to look unnatural. Sometimes, it's 'what you see is what you get'. I was on the move that morning and didn't have the opportunity to wait for better lighting.
If I was a real landscape photographer, I'd have brought a chair and waited for the right conditions. As it is, I'm just a hack. |

That's a great question. I find that the foreground brush is a bit pale and that the sky could stand to be more blue. I'd give the whole image a bump and see what it looks like. |

Very nice image Paul, sort of calming actually. My eye is drawn to the two leading lines from the left to the right forming sideways 'V'. |

Darcy, I agree with Michael regarding the composition, but I'd like to see the saturation bumped up a bit. Otherwise, it's really good. I like 5 'zones' - grass, brush, rock, tree and sky. Very visually interesting. |

Ed, that's one nice 'chopper'. I hope you got some nice close ups of the detail. |
