I concur with Jeff and Michael. If shot in RAW, perhaps the 'dehaze' filter in Lr could address the haze that Michael refers to. |

Mark, This image shows the care and consideration put into creating it. I am drawn to the sense of calm and serenity that it imbues. Very well done - I have nothing more to add that has not already been said. |

Thanks for the suggestions. To my eye, the background provides a sense of depth to the scene and is integral to the image. I suppose that's the nature of 'art'. This is an outcropping of lava rock with water from a glacier coming down the formation. Juxtaposed is the almost idyllic undulating hills behind such that there is a tension between the softness of the background and the harshness of the lava. The flowing water in the foreground restores the calm. I will review the contrast. |

I understand what you would like to achieve with the crop, but I am using the foreground elements to frame the stream. I will have a go at the contrast which is a good suggestion. |

Paul, This is a great image. Works really well in B/W. I like the conflicting 'leading lines' that add to the tension and drama of the scene and the clouds that have just the right amount of 'foreboding'. Contrast is perfect. The ripples on the right side are fantastic. The entire image is spot-on and I can see this image hanging in a corporate boardroom if they need to inject a bit more anxiety. Well done. I'd print it on metallic paper mounted behind 3mm or 5mm clear acrylic. |
