Thanks Jeff. Maybe for March I'll post another blurry example. |

Thanks Darcy. The cancer treatment has been going reasonably well. I had another CT scan on Wednesday and get the results on Monday. I've now had 3 chemo sessions and (only) 9 to go. My site is fotomacher.ca. Thanks for the comment about the blur. The backstory is that I had brought my camera and tripod to the beach that evening and was all set up when I realized that all of my memory cards were still at the hotel. My wife had both of her camera bodies with her (and memory!) so that's why I used hers. I was not familiar with the settings so I just had to wing it. First and last time I left my memory (camera memory) behind. |

Hi Mark and Welcome to CC93. I don't recall what was out in the water that evening, could be either small craft or maybe some waves. |

Paul, As artists I think we're entitled to portray our own visions of reality. I love what you've done and thanks for showcasing OUR geese! Sorry about all the poop though. |

Hi Jeff, this image is very well done. However, there are two elements that distract me, one is the negative space on the left and the other is the small dead tree to the right of the central tree. With respect to artistic integrity, I have made two modifications, firstly a crop to isolate the large tree and second to remove the small tree. Otherwise Ed has given a very thoughtful analysis of the image. |

Thanks for the +ve comment, Ed. I appreciate it. I'm in the process of assembling a portfolio for submission to PSA for the BPSA designation. I'm thinking that I'll submit a selection of my waterfall images (see the Publications tab on my website - Water) For anyone who looks at it, not all of the images are 100% but I think that 10 are. And I also added technical details on the last page for each image.
I had my third chemo yesterday and there's now only 9 to go! |

Thanks Paul. I started the chemo on January 18 and had the second of 12 rounds this past Monday. Not 'out of the woods' yet, but the doctors are hopeful that they can arrest the cancer and hopefully keep it from spreading. It will be a grind but I seem to be tolerating the meds well.
As for the blur, it was done in camera with a pan of the scene. No post processing on this image. I have used 'intentional blur' a few times with generally speaking good results. |
