Thanks everyone! It's now been 2 months since my SUCCESSFUL surgery and I am still amazed that my pancreatic cancer was limited to the pancreas with no spread to any other internal organs. There were 2 of 32 lymph nodes (surgically removed) affected but the doctors don't think that the cancer spread through the lymphatic system. To ensure that I have the best chance of recovery, I have commenced 12 rounds of chemotherapy - every two weeks - for the next few months. The first round was on January 18 and the next is tomorrow, February 1. I seem to be tolerating the chemo except for extreme fatigue and last week I was fairly OK and had to catch up on my work. This coming week will be back at the fatigue, but now that I know what to expect, I may be able to handle it better. Thanks for your concern and patience. I have an image picked out for the next CC. Very best regards to all. |
