2 Jan 24 Comment This is an outstanding portrait. I agree with adding more on the right; I think I would include all of Alan's left shoulder.

Is the monochrome version just a test to see how it looks? I like both the color and monochrome versions, but prefer the color version.

29 Jan 24 Comment This photograph caught my attention. My first thought was that it is humorous. I agree with adding canvas to the lower left and showing where the bird will land. Jan 7th

42 Jan 24 Comment Title: On the Firing Line of the John C. Garand Range

I made this photograph with the camera in my Samsung Galaxy A32 smartphone. I scored for the man at the shooting bench; then he scored for me. It was all that I could do to carry my M1 Garand rifle in its case, ammunition, hearing protection, and shooting glasses to and from this range of the Civilian Marksmanship Program Talladega Marksmanship Park; however, my smartphone was in its holster on my belt. This was one of three matches that I shot in during the Garand Collectors Association convention in October 2023. We shot at the first row of targets 200 yards down range. Targets at 300 yards were down. Targets at 600 yards were up. It had been about 55 years since I had shot in a formal rifle match and back then it was a Remington Model 40-X single-shot .22 caliber bolt action rifle. I ranked 19 of 28 persons shooting from a bench in a Garand/Springfield/Vintage Military Match.

Metadata from my smartphone does not compare with metadata from a real camera; therefore, I will not include metadata for a photograph made with the camera in my smartphone. The camera was in full automatic mode and used as a point an shoot camera.

76 Jan 24 Comment Excellent photograph. It looks like there was a great deal of planning and staging to make this image. The post processing is definitely worth the work. You should be able to sell copies of this image. I might put it on a photo greeting card. Jan 7th

This is a fantastic photograph. I like everything about it and would NOT change anything.
