Excellent photograph. If possible, I would have included all of the reflection. |

I am retired from a career as a technical writer in the electronics industry. My first "real" camera was a Minolta SR-1 and a handheld basic inexpensive light meter. The mother of a girl that I was dating was a professional portrait photographer who told me to purchase a completely manual used camera and simple handheld light meter and keep a log of each exposure. Mrs. Baker reviewed my photographs, matched them to my log, and explained why I should have used different aperture and shutter speed based on the ASA of the film I used. She taught me depth of field and basic composition. She used a 5x7 graphic view camera in her home studio and processed her own film in her home darkroom. My wife and I never had any children. |

Thank you for your comments. I am working on documenting another historical building in Tyler, Texas. The Union Bus Station former site of the Greyhound Bus Station has my attention now. A local real estate developer has joined forces with other people to turn this building into a boutique hotel. Unfortunately, there is a chain link fence around the building; I attempted to find an angle of view the highlights the building and minimizes the fence. The lack of existing documentation about this building is another obstacle; my membership in the Smith County Historical Society might help me uncover some details. History did not hold my attention when I was in grade school history courses; now that I am a senior citizen, history is fascinating to me. |

I really don't know if there are any restrictions about reversing an image. |

Yes - I typically lower highlights and raise shadows. |

I like the arch and other geometric shapes. The open doors seem to be inviting people to pass through them. The view through the arch give the image a great deal of depth. It has been about 32 years since I was in Europe, but my memory of small towns in Europe makes me think the colors are reasonably accurate. |

Excellent photograph. It is amazing what can be done with focus stacking. The title is humorous. |

This is an excellent photograph that holds my interest. He looks like he is exhausted after a long day. It is tricky to photograph a person where there is a bright background; you did an excellent job darkening the outside of the window. |

Oops -- I think your comment applies to the photograph of the WWII airplane that I posted last month. We were a few days into August before I sent my current photograph to Stuart. |

Thank you. I am fortunate that I was there late in the afternoon while the sun was low and illuminating this building. It also helped that there was very little traffic since I made this photograph from the opposite side of the street. It is fun to combine my photography with my interest in the history of the city of Tyler and the county of Smith in Texas. My wife and I recently joined the Smith County Historical Society. |

I cropped down to the "parking meter" that has probably been there since 1881 to park horses. Thank you for your encouragement. |
