42 Jul 22 Reply Do you still see excess green in my photograph this month? Jul 31st
42 Jul 22 Reply Thank you. I tried to choose a shutter speed for the very close and fast jet aircraft and forgot to slow the shutter for the propeller aircraft. My dehydration might have slowed my thinking and reflexes; I had difficulty walking to the first aid station at the end of the air show. EMTs staffed the first aid station and had one ambulance on site to transport a patient. They called for a second ambulance to take my wife to the hospital. A taxi took us back to my vehicle at the airport about 3 o'clock in the morning. Jul 31st
42 Jul 22 Reply I have read all of your comments. They have me concerned about how I am processing photographs. I've tried to figure out why my images have so much green in them. Reprocessing them got some green out of the image. However, I might just be partial to green.

I acquired a sensor cleaning kit and tried to clean the sensor in my Nikon D750. Hopefully, I got the dust spots off of the sensor. However, my eyesight is much improved since my last cataract surgery, but I still don't see as well as I did a few decades ago.

I move slow and try to do too many things, and the month is gone before I realize it. My wife and I both became dehydrated at the air show where I made this month's photograph and were taken by ambulances to a hospital where we were given fluids by IV. I took my wife back to the hospital two days later and they diagnosed her with COVID-19. She is over the COVID-19, but she tires very quickly.

42 Jul 22 Reply In hindsight, I should have used a slower shutter speed to blur the props. There were a mix of jets and propeller aircraft in the show. Jul 31st
42 Jul 22 Comment Well done considering you were in a moving vehicle. A faster shutter speed might have made a sharper image, but I am certain there wasn't time to make camera adjustments. Great composition. A darker background should help keep eyes focused on the giraffes. Jul 31st
42 Jul 22 Comment The flower is fascinating. I think I would try to do a background replacement with solid 18% gray. Jul 31st
42 Jul 22 Comment I like both the color and monochrome images, but the monochrome is more appropriate for the subject. The landscape image is needed to properly document this site, and it makes me want to see close-up photographs of the equipment and features of the buildings. I am not a fan of smartphone photography, however, they sometimes provide advantages over a dedicated camera. I don't use the camera in my smartphone in bright sunlight very often because because I cannot see the display on my smartphone in the sunlight. Jul 31st
42 Jul 22 Comment I agree with Stuart and the others that cropping from the top helps. I can't tell where the sharpest focus point is on my monitor; it looks great to me. Jul 31st
42 Jul 22 Comment This is an outstanding photograph. I would not change anything. It is amazing what focus stacking accomplishes.

July has been a hectic month. My wife and I attended an air show where we got dehydrated; paramedics took us to a hospital emergency department by ambulances, and medical staff re-hydrated us via IV. Two days later my wife was sick, and I took her back to the hospital emergency department where she was diagnosed with COVID-19.
