42 Mar 22 Comment I was tempted to lighten the rider's face, but I was afraid that it would look unnatural. More light in the rodeo arena would have been helpful. Other photographers at this event had faster glass and did better than my lens. The other photographers used f/1.8 or f/2.0 apertures; whereas, f/4.0 was as wide an aperture as I had. Mar 31st
42 Mar 22 Comment Lightening the shadows might make the beak more distinct. I agree with Stuart about the green leaf above the eye and in front of the bird. My personal preference would be to not crop so tightly; I like to the see all of the bird. Mar 31st
