It almost looks 3-dimensional to me. This is an interesting application of focus stacking. |

I can't decide if I am seeing artifacts of over processing or texture of the building material (my guess is adobe) of the arched entry to the courtyard. I wonder if a texture overlay was added in post processing. All the little details in this image hold my attention. For example, there appear to be two framed pieces of artwork inside the arch, carving on the post in the courtyard, and detailed carving on the door. I keep wondering if there is a gate that is swung out of view. This is a fascinating photograph. |

I agree with Stuart about the background. A contrasting background should make Skipper stand out. Excellent photograph of a subject that typically keeps moving and won't pose. |

I did not know this memorial exists. I would try to lighten the dark area on the hand to reveal more detail. This is an excellent photograph. |

I hurriedly reprocess this image. I keep hoping to find my original processed image that I entered into the print contest at the Dallas Camera Club where it won Honorable Mention. I agree the background needs to be darker. |

Your example crop is an improvement over mine. I am always afraid I am going to crop too much. |
