Indeed, the image looks more like a European palace or manor house than a temple. I can recognize the portrait of A. C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada (founder of ISKCON) and an idol of perhaps Durga? |

This is a nice composition, and the monochrome treatment brings out the architectural features. But it is not clear to me what the subject of the image is - certainly Barcelona is an inadequate description. It seems to be a group of tourists taking selfies of each other - not a compelling theme. Some of the people are moving and out of focus; others are not well separated from the background. The pockmarked doorway on the right would make an interesting image in its own right. |

This is an unusual image. The brightest regions of the image are entirely out of focus, and the subject matter (as the title signifies) is in full shadow and silhouette. It is a bold experiment. For me, it doesn't work as perhaps intended, but it would be worth experimenting further with variations. |

Well seen! The lines of the shadows draw the eye to the cross. I wish we could see more of the shadows. To one familiar with American history and politics, a burning cross carries sinister and disturbing connotations. |
