I've often walked this trail, and Joshua Tree abounds with photographic opportunities. Tonal range is nice. There's some loss of front-to-back sharpness here, esp.the foreground cacti. The cropped cholla on the left is unfortunate. I'd have liked to see either more of the mountains in the background or a lot less (shooting from a lower angle instead of from a standing position). |

Lovely tones! The water looks almost like ice. The dusk colors in the sky set off the cruise ship nicely. Most of the interest is in the middle of the image; so I agree with the cropping suggestion. |

You don't need to edit the birds; they're OK. Somehow to me this image looks more like an illustration, and it brings to my mind the Ghazipur mountain (sorry, that's just me; if you're not familiar with it, don't google it). |
