I really enjoy the way your composition and choice of lens/focal length seem to create a double arch in the image. The green color is strong, but yes, the highlights - especially at left - could be toned down. |

Nice capture of the bird, with contrasting colors, and set off against a soft background. I think you've tried to include the bird as well as all the flowers of the bunch. The flowers do complement the bird, but I'd have preferred a composition focusing more on the bird with just a few of the flowers. |

I like the fact that we can see the red of its eye, and even the water dripping from the bill. But as others have pointed out, the whites - especially at the back of the neck - are somewhat overexposed and the background is distracting. |

A simple composition, but I like the traces of orange reflections of the sky in the blue water, and the isolation of the bird in the scene. I only wish we could see the image larger - you know we are no longer constrained in pixel dimensions here, as long as it is within 1MB. |

Not just a classic car, but also your classic minimalism at work. I like your bold choice of a close crop here, accentuating the smooth curves and the strong red. Great work! |

What an arresting portrait with which to start off your participation in the Study Group! The intensity in his look immediately captures the viewer's attention. The only thing I can suggest is that to display best against the black background of this webpage, you could add a small white border or frame to the image. |
