I like the experimental turn to your photography, where you are not afraid to try the unconventional and success is not always assured. To me the red lights look almost like illuminated corks; this is a difficult image to read except as an abstract. I like the tonal contrast and the diagonal sweep of the light. Perhaps this is what drivers see after a fatal car crash... cork souls being summoned to heaven?
(I hope you're not posting this from "the other side"! :-) |

I like the rich color of the costumes against the paleness of the faces and background. I read this as almost a monochrome image, with the maroon, red, gold and pink being different shades of the same colour. And it is almost as if the two statues in the background are observing and talking about the masked revelers in the foreground. |

Looks almost like a turtle or turtle fossil to me. Can't you see the staring eye and gaping mouth at the right? |

Great use of lighting, selective focus and negative space to isolate the subjects. For effective display against the black background of this page, I'd add a thin border, but I expect that as a print you'd display it against a white mat. |

A very appealing scene, but I wish you hadn't cropped off the top of the little kid's head. With the present image, I like Stuart's cropping; I think it makes a much stronger impact by zeroing in on the action. Much of photography is eliminating whatever doesn't contribute to the story you want to tell. |
