8 Jan 19 Comment I like the combination of colors in this night image. The lighted foyer and doorway at right seem to invite you in, the windows on the left invite the viewer to speculate on what goes on behind them. The only jarring element in my view is the bright tall post in the center, almost in front of the tower. Jan 25th

I remember photographing such trees laden with icicles outside my former apartment complex, and moments later the tree made brittle with the freeze-thaw cycle came crashing down on the spot where I'd been standing! I like the color palette in your image - warm browns at the left, cool blues to the right, and white dominating the middle. Jan 25th
8 Jan 19 Comment This week these guys are in my state at the Ardh Kumbh in Allahabad, now renamed as Prayagraj, for the holy dip at the confluence of the Ganga and Yamuna. The state and national governments are marketing the event as a big tourist attraction, but you won't find me within miles of such crowds. So I'm content to enjoy your images instead. Jan 25th

8 Jan 19 Comment A very eye-catching image indeed! Was the moon taken from a lower resolution image? The selection shows slight imperfections if one looks closely and there's a little bit of the blue ball showing behind it. Jan 25th
