Yes, this was the image as shot; no need to re-invert it. In any case, reflected trees point towards a reflected sky. But if you shoot between your legs, they point to the top of your camera. |

A well seen travel image. The colors and the composition enhance the image. |

I like the composition, with the stark landscape, the line of windmills and the winding road up the hill. The B&W tones suit the image well. This is an image that conveys a sense of place. |

Absolutely lovely the way you have brought out the texture! I can see this as a stained glass or very delicate crystal creation. I agree that the head and proboscis of the butterfly are a bit soft. |

The beauty of broken symmetry! What gives it away to me is the fact that the central color is the same as in the top left ... the latter could be the background showing through where the fronds are torn, but why would it be the same as in the center? The central color works for me, as it seems to be a brighter, more saturated version of the surrounding brown. Try using a duller color, which does not distract attention to itself, for the background at top left. |

Neat patterns... and the harvester to provide tonal relief and foreground interest. But I'd like to see either more or none of the sliver of green fields in the background. |

Please ignore the above comment. It was made on the wrong image (and I cannot delete it). I quite like your final image. You have retained the rich tones and textures in the elaborately carved door, while at the same time bringing out the subtle tones in the girl's dress. You might try perspective correction to straighten the right side of the image. |

I prefer your original image. In making the image lighter, you have washed out all detail in the girl's dress. To make the image lighter while retaining details in the highlights (dress), I used Image -> Adjustments -> Shadows and Highlights in Adobe Photoshop CS5.1 (starting from the original image) - this allows you to adjust the lightness in the shadows and in the highlights independently. I have also taken the opportunity to straighten the perspective (Edit -> Transform -> Skew). |
