If someone is going to stand at a "bus" stop on the water's edge, then "deep comtemplation" of what might actually come along and stop, is probably a good thing to do! Thank you.

Thanks Shirley. These ideas sometimes come to the surface and appear a photographic composites.

Thanks Julie. Some of my ideas just churn around in my head like aggregates in a concrete mixer!

Another lovely image, Karen, and worthy of a place on the wall.
I like your post production, in particular the removal of the light patch in the background (towards the top right corner).
Maybe it could do with a touch more sharpening.
Great image.

Nice image Piers. Maybe these two big cats are just licking their lips and wondering if you are going to be their next meal!
As you have decided to make this a "portrait" rather than a "nature" photo, maybe darken the background sky and lighten the shadows on the lion closest to the camera.
This image is worth playing around with in photoshop.
It is just a pity you didn't make eye contact with your subjects.
An interesting image, well done

Jim, this is an interesting botanical image. I like the colour palette and the full tonal range. My eye tends to wander a little as it looks for somewhere to settle. Maybe that "somewhere" is the light patch just below the centre of the image.
This is a simple, uncomplicated image made interesting by some careful cropping and post production treatment.
Well done

Shirley, this might have been an "accidental" picture but it is a good abstract image. The eye is guided to the brightest spot on the image which lies on the interesection of two "third lines."
It is bright and colourful, with plenty of lines, patterns and shapes to make it interesting.
Well done

Lovely colourful image, Julie. Maybe this could be the basis for next year's Christmas cards when you design them! |

Thanks Cisco for another interesting image showing us some Indonesian culture and lifestyle.
This is a nicely composed image. Maybe if you had waited a little longer then one or two people may have been seated at the table, which would have added a human element to the image.
I like it all the same, people or no people!

This is a nicely composed image, Tom. As you have mentioned above it contains many of the "Art elements" as well as Form, Tone etc. A powerful image!
Well done |

Gerhard, this is an interesting, but as you say, a sad street scene.
I can only image this fellow is not allowed to sleep on the footpath and has chosen a place on the street in front of the parked cars. Have I got that right?
I did a quick Google/chatGPT check and it would appear this is somewhere in South Africa.
I think the B&W treatment is good as it rules out many possible distractions that might move the viewers eye away from the main subject.
Nice thought provoking image.

A great image, Trey.
All the "verticals" are vertical as they should be as the viewers eye approaches the gallery and is attracted by the brightness of the reflection of the bright street across the road.
While looking at the reflection the viewer asks why isn't the "Open" sign reversed if it is a reflection? It is only on close inspection that you realise the "Open" sign is behind the glass in the door and is not part of the reflection.
Nicely done.
