2 Jun 25 Reply Thanks for your comments, Karen. See the photo of the "real" George above. You and Piers are right about the colour of his face. Thank you for bringing it to my attention. Jun 10th
2 Jun 25 Reply Thanks Piers. Yes I agree that the post processing has made him look a little pale. This is what the "real" George looks like Jun 10th
2 Jun 25 Reply Oh yes, I gave George a print as well as a digital copy that he can share with his family back in Greece. Jun 10th
2 Jun 25 Comment A lovely colourful image.
You have done well to capture the face without any blur.
I would be interested to know what post processing you used

2 Jun 25 Comment Karen, I like the addition of the umbrella. I think the colours in it could be saturated a bit more.
The position of the shadow worries me! The sun is shining from the top right hand corner of the image and this would mean that the shadow would be cast more to the left of the umbrella. The darkness and the position of the shadow can be guaged from the position of the shadow from the pier.
A great composite!

2 Jun 25 Comment Shirley, I believe you were very lucky to capture this lightening strike using a speed of 1/15 of a second.
Your image seems to have a lot of magenta/purple in it. Was this the nature colour at the time or was it something your iphone superimposed?

2 Jun 25 Comment Piers, I like the rich colours and textures in the rock face, but I would like to know what is behind the outcrop, and like Jim, I would like to know where the gravel trail goes.
An interesting image no the less.

2 Jun 25 Comment A great minimalist image, Jim. You have captured the coldness of the surroundings very well.
Well done!

40 Jun 25 Comment Hi Julie. I image you took this as a raw image. Is there any detail that you can tease out by lightening that black area in the centre? Jun 10th

56 Jun 25 Comment Tom, this is a nice image, but it is of someone else's art. Make it your own art by finding a creative angle from which to photograph it, or do something to show your own creativity.
It is a nice photo, tack sharp and well exposed. Well done.

56 Jun 25 Comment This is a nice bright sunset. I like the sun shining through the pier and reflecting on the sea.
Maybe crop out the arm and hand on the righthand side of the image?

56 Jun 25 Comment A well caught moment with these three people in conversation. I particularly like the lady on the left hand side as she looks upwards and concentrates on the man's face and listening to what he is saying. She is dressed in a US flag and topped off with earings to match!
An interesting photo displaying a bit of US culture. Well done!

56 Jun 25 Comment Hi Cisco. You have an interesting back story to your image, and we learn a little bit about life in Jakarta.
I prefer the monochrome version of the image, although I might lighten the dark clothing of the three protagonists in the story.
I am in two minds as to whether cropping the image would reduce the story and/or make a more balanced image. I guess the answer lies in the eye of the beholder.
Either way, it is a great image and well captured.
