I love the colours in this image.
I agree with Jim about the depth of field. The nearest petal to the camera looks a "tad" soft.
The experts might suggest that you could try to "focus stack", but using a smaller aperture might have done the trick as Jim suggested |

A lovely shot, Shirley. I think you might have "warmed it up" a little too much with the yellow saturation. Maybe, somewhere between the original and your presented image would probably be just right. Like Piers said, the leading lines draw the eye into the image |

A great shot, Jim. I am always amazed when such a simple subject becomes such a wonderful image. Well done. |

A wonderful Nature photo, Piers. It is tack sharp and I like your cropping and composition. It is good to see the bird with it's prey and not just sitting in the tree.
Well done |

Welcome to the group Yuxin.
This is a lovely photo but I have to agree with the others; concentrate on one branch so that the eye rests there. |

Thanks for your suggestions, Julie. You are right, as this image is presented here, it may qualify under some definitions as "street photography." It may also be regarded as a portrait that happened to taken in a street or public place, and hence not true "street Photography."
I think I will probably just darken the background (as you indirectly suggested) and use it as a portrait.
My current thinking has recently been swayed by the definition of Street Photography currently used in the 13th JPS International Salon 2025 [FIAP (2025/134) and PSA (2025-1810)]. Hi Julie, this is a somewhat gruesome image, but well done. It is tack sharp and the exposure and post processing are excellent.
There are some judges who like borders and others who don't. I think your image with the border makes the subject slightly claustrophobic (although the fish are beyond caring). Maybe extend the edges and bottom of the image outwards slightly using Photoshop and then use a more subtle coloured 1px border.
