Our daughter lives in the north east corner of Pennsylvania and we will be visiting in late May. |

This is a great photo. It is sharp and there is action. It wasn't until I visited the USA that I realised how small and fast these creatures are. You are lucky to have them in your garden and so you have an endless supply for you to practice your photography on.
A very nice photo. Maybe there is a slight halo caused by sharpening to the right of the tail feathers. If it is then it is easy to fix with the clone tool in Photoshop. |

Shirley, you have captured the essence of this innovatively designed building and I like the way the leading lines draw the eye towards the altar.
I did a quick Google search and I decided that I would never be able to afford a three hour booking at between US$3,000 and US$4,500. But you have captured the memory of your visit with your photo.
Maybe I prefer your original coloured version. I love the warmth from (what I presume are) heaters or maybe they are lights? The glow from the lights/heaters complement the warmth of the natural timber of the structure and the greenery of the outside foliage. Maybe if there had been a person somewhere up near the altar this would have added a little human interest in what is otherwise a lovely architectural image.
This is an interesting photo and well captured. You've done a wonderful job

Well done, Jim. I think this is a wonderful landscape. I like the way you have used the trees in the foreground to frame the scene, and my eyes are immediately led to the brightness of the snow clad peak in the background.
You have worked on the tree trunks and brought them from being rather bland looking in your original image to having some warmth and character.
At first glance I thought you must have used a "drop in" background for the sky, but on closer inspection I can see you have done brilliantly to tease out the colours from the original.
I think this is a great photo and I look forward to seeing some more in the coming months. Well done! |
