Yes Karen and Piers, here is a separate composite of Eric with his guitar.
I took the background image a few years ago when my wife and I visited Glencoe in the Scottish Highlands. |

Thank you for your kind comments, Piers.
The purpose of this photoshoot was to photograph Eric with his support group, as Eric rarely performs on his own nowadays. Unfortunately I didn't take any images of Eric by himself with his guitar.
I might try and address that with an image next month.
The image from which I "lifted" Eric's face has also gone to good use. |

I would leave the horse where it is. It's perfectly fine. |

Shirley this is a great action photo. The horse and rider are tack sharp and well caught with the horse in full flight.
Yes print it!
Maybe desaturate, darken and slightly blur the background in Lightroom.
Well done, I like it! |

Thanks Shirley.
I am going through a "grunge" phase in my photography. I love teasing out every line and blemish in my portraits of men.
Eric is a very talented fellow. He has a set of my images and is slowly working his way through them.

My eye goes straight to the bright emerald green eye of the cormorant. The eye is clear and sharp and has a great catch light in it.
Well done.
You have handled the blackness of the feathers well and I like that you have removed the clutter of branches in post production.
I would be tempted to clone a little of the original image into your final image, just where the supporting branch enters the water or have the supporting branch running out of the image.
I think this transition needs to be definite rather than the rather ambiguous treatment you have given it.

I love the gaudiness of this image.
I like the leading lines of the building on the left and the concrete kerbing on the right as they guide the eye to the porte cochère and the neon lights above it.
It would be my bad luck to have a room fronting onto these bright lights with the jumping rabbits flashing all night through the window.
This is a great and very expressive image, Jim.
Well done. |

This is a great image, Karen. It is so vibrant and simple. Well done.
Despite agreeing with Jim about an odd number of similar objects working best, I think two ducks works well in this case.
Well done! |

An interesting still life image. I find the monochrome version a little too "speckley" and prefer the original image will it's muted tones. |
