I agree with Jamie, the off centred composition looks great. |

Thank you,
Sunscreen is essential here. The sun is very damaging to the skin especially the nose. However this fellow's sunscreen looks almost like a "tribal" marking! |

Well done Jim.
I like the fact that you went out with the specific intention of taking a photo like this rather than randomly shooting photos around the countryside.
I think it always helps if you have a vision of what you want to capture.
You have executed the plan well and I like the crop that you have chosen.

Thanks Karen. This shoot with the surfers was an unexpected bonus.
I went to the Festival with the intention of photographing some of the international Folk music artists who were passing through. So this was an extra.
For memory this was the year I managed to get photos of Judy Collins and Mary Black while at Port Fairy. |

Thanks Tom. Although this image was taken at the end of our Summer, there is nothing between this lad and Antarctica except a few thousand kilometres of the Southern Ocean. It would have been cold in the water! |

Hi Shirley,
This is a lovely image, but that dark horse on the left of the image worries me and catches my eye every time. It is looking out of the image and it is very dominant.
If it is cloned out, my eye is drawn to the dark horse in the centre. This horse is flanked on either side by two white horses. The two groups on the horizon are perfect. I would crop in the vertical edges a little and cut out the blue band of sky at the top.
Well done |

Thank you both for suggesting the removal of the white background wave. I had never noticed it until you mentioned it. I agree it is a problem.
I have done a combination of cropping and cloning to remove it. Straight cropping brought the top of the image too close to the surfer and hence I cloned in some of the near background water to replace it.
I think this is a good result. Thank you. |

I have told the grandchildren that Nanna has their missing dinosaurs and that they are having broccoli for dinner!
Very Creative! |
