2 Jul 20 Reply Thanks Brenda. Yes you are right, she didn't hold back with her performance Jul 21st
2 Jul 20 Comment I am not a nature photographer, but I like the way you were able to isolate the flower from the background.
A great image!

2 Jul 20 Comment I agree with Karen's treatment of your interesting image. Although your image shows the ladies walking into the empty space, the right hand half of the image contributes very little to the overall scene. So chop it out. As someone once told me "Everything in the frame should have a purpose. Don't wast pixels."
I wanted to bring out the detail in the ladies hair by lightening that area by about 1 stop, but that was not really successful and a slip of the brush made me realise there were some wonderful colours in their clothes that could be highlighted instead.
This is a really great image, well done

2 Jul 20 Reply Shirley, if you are going to use this image in a camera club landscape competition I would definitely add some saturation to the sky area and the distant hills.
The current trend around our camera club is to produce almost surreal landscapes for competitions. It gets the judges in every time. .. *laughs*

2 Jul 20 Reply The stage lighting was harsh and so the image has very high contrast. The lights behind her were blown out and, as you mentioned, that shadow on her left shoulder is nearly black. I have painted in some of her skin tones into that area, and I like the result. Thank you for your suggestion, Piers.
As I mentioned in the introduction, the original image was a .jpg and so there is very little detail available in that dark area

2 Jul 20 Comment WOW! At first I thought is was on of those botanical watercolour paintings that show every detail in every petal. On closer inspection it became obvious that it was a photograph. It is tack sharp and I think the lighting and the LR treatment etc are excellent. Well done! Jul 10th
2 Jul 20 Reply Thank you, Stuart Jul 6th

2 Jul 20 Comment Well done Shirley! This is a lovely landscape image and beautifully framed by the arch. The foreground, middle ground and a background are all "tack sharp." The tools you used in post processing have worked well in bringing out the richness of the colours. Jul 2nd
