2 May 20 Comment I like this image. As Harry said, the contrast between the harsh lines of the man made structure and the softness of the water is good.
It is a busy image and the cropping suggested by others may help. But I like the business. I also like the three green bushes that add a little colour to an otherwise monochrome image.
I tried a harsh crop to your image, Just to see what it would look like, but I am not sure it has improved your image

2 May 20 Comment He certainly looks engrossed. He was probably unaware that you even took this image.
This is a great study in concentration, well done
I agree with Harry's changes. They simplify the image

2 May 20 Reply Thanks Beverley. My initial thought was that it might have been like the opening of the duck shooting season that we have here. I can rest easy now! Thank you.
.... and I don't do "very early morning shoots." I value my sleep too much, consequently there are very few, if any, sunrise images in my portfolio.

2 May 20 Comment Thanks Shirley. The original image doesn't really show the rugged, craggy features of her face. It is only when you see her in natural light that you realise what a "burnt out" and interesting face she has. Hence my enhancements to try and reproduce that look.
.... and the $20 modelling fee? Anyone who saw the transaction and the camera gear would have thought, "There's some idiot paying for her next fix!"

2 May 20 Reply Thanks for your positive comments, Larry. This lady has not coped with life at all well, and it shows. May 2nd
2 May 20 Comment I really like the composition. The silhouette of the man lies nicely at the intersection of the "thirds" lines.
The background has a very "painterly" look about it and the treatment rubs out any distracting features that might detract from the silhouette.
There is a story to this image, although I have no idea what an "osprey shoot" is, we can tell from his pose that the man is contemplating something.
A lovely bright image. Well done.

2 May 20 Comment This is a lovely image. The colours are nice and rich. Your cropping is perfect and the darker corner vignette nicely leaves the background bright just behind the flower.
I have run the image through Topaz Sharpen AI and lightened the base of the leaves to bring out a little more detail down there, just to see what happens.
A wonderful image, well done.
