2 Mar 20 Comment Thanks Piers.
I have darkened the water and added a bit of sky blue to liven it up a bit

2 Mar 20 Comment I spend a couple of weeks in the USA almost every year and remain in awe of the whole country and the towns. I much prefer the "panoramic shot of the street" and the bright headlights of the approaching vehicle. Maybe it is because the traffic in the USA always seems to be on the wrong side of the road for me, the pickup trucks are huge and intimidating and the semi trailers even more so, but the broader shot tells more of a story to me.
The "Hero" of the image are the headlights and this is supported by the leading lines from the roofline and street kerb line.

2 Mar 20 Comment What a great photo! I love the architecture in some of those old American towns. Piers, I think your treatment is wonderful. I like the way you have cloned out the overhead wires (I hate them) and I am amazed that you could get the "star burst" effect from the headlights with that camera setting. But they are there and they really add some interest to the image.
It is a simple, interesting and uncluttered. Well done!
My only other thought, and i'm just being picky, is you could lightly brush a bit of the sunset colour over the reflections in the windows.

2 Mar 20 Reply Thanks Karen. I have been debating whether to remove the strip of seaweed that you have identified or not. There is a little more by her right knee amongst the droplets and also there is some in the water in the bottom right hand corner of the image.
I think it does look better without it and I have cranked up the dehaze as you suggested. Thanks the image is looking better.

2 Mar 20 Comment Thanks Shirley. I thought I had removed all the offending water droplets, but clearly I hadn't, so I have done some quite delicate eye surgery on the image.
Our Camera Club beach shoot is always a great event. We advertise on social media for models, offer them a small remuneration, plus it is a "Time For Photos" shoot so the members usually give them some of their better images for their portfolios etc. We invite members from other camera clubs to join us (for a small fee). At this shoot we had 4-5 models and 24 photographers.
