65 Jan 21 Comment Nice frame and as I commented in few other flower shots this month, I love this composition and something which I use a lot, when shooting flowers.
One thing which can make the image more balanced is when you have a good flow between the sharpness to blurriness in the image. A bit patch blur and sharpness is what catches my eyes but it can be easily handled in the post processing.
The sharpness which you have achieved at the centre is really good and you don't want to touch that much.! Happy editing.

65 Jan 21 Comment Beautifully captured and processed Charles. I am surprised seeing multiple colours and hue in one single succulent, which I have not seen much in the ones which I have at my place. One thing which I felt is making this image look much more sharp than required is the range between the brightness and darkness on the succulent. Not sure if you agree but do try to adjust it locally on the succulent and check it out Jan 21st
65 Jan 21 Comment Really like the composition, I can completely relate this to how I shoot flowers. With this image and the explanation behind, I am getting curious to try out the IR photography which I have been hearing and reading a lot. Want to give a shot at some point of time.

One thing which I feel can give this image a different perspective is by making the background a bit more smooth/blury... You may want to try it out and compare it

65 Jan 21 Comment Its a good concept of shooting this odd but unique shaped pepper, with a proper reflection. I feel a good sharp photo of this pepper would have been more eye catching but that's just my perspective.

Peppers are one of my fav vegetables so I can already feel the taste of it! I am sure you would have enjoyed eating it.

65 Jan 21 Comment I completely love the composition of this photo Lynne, I have some of my flower shots with this composition and I really like them this way. Focus stacking is a difficult technique, especially when you are tying to shoot non static subjects. I am sure you had tough time with this flower too, which might have been moving. You still managed to stack it well. The only think from me to improve this further will be to stack them with less number of frames and by ensuring that you have sufficient sharpness right from the petals till the centre of the flower. However, if your objective is to focus the centre part, 4-5 frames with the right amount of sharpness will be ideal. Jan 21st
65 Jan 21 Comment As commented by others, I really look some this colourful frame, especially when they are smooth colours and does not pop a lot here. Two things in the photo which can surely improve it further is by reducing the digital noise, which is quite visible here, though the digital noise is suitable and looks good in many other photographs. Secondly, as rightly suggested by Peter, I would move around to get another interesting angle as in the current image your focus point on the front flower is fine, but the flowers right behind is distracting.

Overall, the thing which you should keep intact are the colors, they are looks really nice!

65 Jan 21 Reply Thanks for your feedback Lynne and I do feel the same and will increase the blur in the background to remove a bit of distraction which I can see now.

Also, rose is one of the flower which I am able to grow regularly and continuously throughout the year. Largely due to the weather in my place, I am based out of Bangalore (in South India). Attaching the photo of a part of my terrace garden showing my rose plants.

65 Jan 21 Reply Thank you for your valuable feedback Peter. Really appreciate it. I do think the other rose in the background is bringing some interest to the frame and also creates the depth. I do feel to blur that flower further instead of completely removing it. I will rework on this and post it soon. Jan 21st
