Beautiful shot and setting. All elements provide a very nice contrast. I think the P filter cannot cut a lot of light, ND filters could have been better (if you have one). The top portion of the tree gets cut from the frame, which if possible, could be retained.
Overall - an 'I-want-to-go-there' image. |

What camouflage! I agree to Bob's comments on the tail cutoff but not so much about the lack of contrast - since the subject is supposed to be camouflaged. Maybe I am missing something.
I like the shadow below the head and neck region - that provides that little bit of contrast. Interesting and a nice image. |

Very nice shot. Feels like a bullet leaving the next, perfect timing. Nice sharpness and framing, considering the challenge of capturing the bird between the foreground branch and the background branch of the tree. Very interesting and challenging frame. |

Outstanding image. I have a special liking for owls. This bird has a certain element of mysticism and your image does perfect justice to that. Nice composition and sharpness, and also, the background and the wooden rail have a painting effect.

Great shot. The beak, neck, and eyes provide a beautiful contrast. Very nice job of panning (generally a very difficult endeavor). I am, however, not so clear about the sky part. If I had not read the details, I would have assumed it to be the banks of the water body, more than the sky. I would like to sight this bird someday. |
