Did you use any ND filters? Curious because the exposure looks perfect and 127 seconds did not overexpose the image at all. |

Stunning image Barbara. I loved the long exposure effect on the skies and on the grasses in the foreground. Just frame it! |

Amazing shot David. I love both cropped versions. Frame it, please. I will take inspiration from this image to try some flower closeups too. |

Nice recommendation, let me check it out.
I have not used a good quality ND filter(cheap) in the past but they did not give me the right colors. I may have to invest in a high-quality one. In this instance, I did not want smooth waves, but I have got very silky smooth waves even with a cheap ND filter. Please go for it, I am sure you will enjoy it. |

Very peaceful and beautiful shot. It's like hot soup for a rainy day... The Rainbow arch, the small patch of water in the foreground with the lily/lotus leaves, and clouds in the background - provide the perfect frame. Beautiful light too.
Loved it. |

Beautiful pano shot. Clouds are the highlights of the frame for me... on top and on the ground as shadows. The rocky landscape provides a nice contrast to the sky and clouds. Liked it. |

Slow shutter photography is something I love. Waves or falls both provide a mystic angle to the image for me. This image hits that mysticness for me. Clouds add such a nice element to the frame along with the brown beach sand.
Loved the shot! |

Great image Peter. The lines that lead to the top are beautifully done. It literally makes me look far ahead if there are any leaving/oncoming trains (there is 1). |

Welcome, Vinay to this wonderful group. Nubra is a wonderful place.
The first thing that sees here is layers... Like onion layers, you see each layer. Thanks for highlighting the lighting challenges you faced. Loved the shot.
If there would have been something in the foreground - like a people, a tree, or a house - it may have added another level of beauty to the frame. |

Thanks, Bob for the feedback. I will keep the specific feedback of tighter cropping in mind. The idea I had was to get 3 layers but have only the center one in focus. But I will explore other compositions as you and Dave recommended. |

Flight formation and wing spread of pelicans are well captured. Especially the part a couple of them have a fish/frog or a twig.
Since you used 400mm with 1.4 (560mm) and the image was cropped - it indicates the birds must have been far enough. Good shot considering that challenge. |

This is a beautiful image. Waterfall slow shutter milky effect pictures are one of my favorite genres. YOu have nailed it.
My only wish (not in our control) was to see more fall foliage.
Loved it! |

This is a beautiful image. I like it a lot. The subtle colors on a white bird contrast very well with the bird and lighting. I thought the exposures were perfect. The pose of the bird and the frame chosen were very good. Even if they were cropped considerably, the result looks great.

Nice sharp shot. Love the way distinct colors on the frog are popping out. Well framed too.
I did feel the flash component/intensity was a bit extra (like 1/3rd or 2/3rd) or maybe it is the glossy skin reflecting the flash a tad more.

Guitar neck indeed!
Thanks for this excellent aerial perspective. It is a beautiful shot! I like how the water has some brightness at the left-most top corner and gets darker as we move to the right. Love the angle the boat is creating to the boardwalk.
I, however, do not think this image has a nature focus (theme of our group) in a way. The boat and the boardwalk are the focus points here than the water and grasslands.
Would love to take your viewpoint.
Fantastic image! |
