Thanks, Stephen for your feedback. You are right, DDG offers such an amazing range of images...

Thanks, Tom, yes the haze is quite a challenge. Debbie suggested a crop that I seem to like more than what I presented based on the points you outlined. |

Thanks, Debbie for the feedback. Your Edit makes sense. I was trying to get more of the expanse of the city and I understand your point about the watch post right in the center. |

Affinity Photo is an editing tool similar to LR/PS from Adobe and many others. One of the features is the many preset filters (similar to LR preset filters) that one could use - which provide various tonal separations, higher range, monochrome with varying grayscales and sharpness and then you can edit on top of those presets.
Thanks for sharing the backstory around shooting conditions. It helps. |

Golden image! Sunsets are so magical - this image is a prime example of that.
Loved the primary windmill and the fellow ones in the background. The windmill stands out from the golden and bluish skies and also the fields in the foreground. I also liked the barb wire fence and fence posts placing - A picture postcard shot! |

Beautiful skies... Rays from the sunrise hitting off the mount cliffs are magical... Add to that the forest canopy and the mist cover! Super image!
The flow of the image asks me to gently go from front to back or back to front. That flow and also the layers are very pleasing to the eye. |

Ah, super shot. Loved the layers hear. Foreground, background field, the background of the mountain range, and the skies. The image gives an amazing sense of place. The placing of the sun starlight is very well done. |

Ah, losing hard data is such a bummer. Cloud is definitely a boon from that angle.
Image has a certain simplicity and calmness to it which I like. Very peaceful. The sky colors give a different angle to the image. Rule of 3s is nicely done.
Loved the image.
Curious questions
- When you had it printed on canvas, was the foreground on the print significantly darker, or did you adjust it a bit more for the print?
- The main focus of the image is in the center. I love the angle of the 3s - did you consider them cropping a bit from the left side? I tried another small edit - preset filter in Affinity which adds local contrast compression and adds some light and little saturation. Let me know what you think.

Brilliant vistas Tom. This is one of the most amazing images of Arches NP I have seen... The Snow-capped mountains provide such an amazing backdrop to the naturally sculpted rock formations. Simply loved it!!! |

Swantastic picture! Love the colors, and overall ambient lighting of the shot.
The dark/black background pops the swans out. Just very serene and beautiful! |

Nice portrait shot of the teal. The eyes are captured well and I get the sense that it is watching me from the corner of its eye.
It appears that you have added a bit of brightness at the edge of the wings towards right above water - or maybe not - it could be my screen too.

Sharp, Nice, and busy image Bob. Liked the story and so many things happening in the shot. Very clean and non-overlapping shot. The two-parent birds and 3 baby birds seeking attention show the chaos that reigns this family household :)
Loved it! |
