Thank you Peter for your feedback. I agree the B&W version would look good too. |

Thanks, Dave for the welcome.
Will use this mail to submit my new lens request to my home minister ;)
Thanks for your feedback as always. The structure above is an overbridge that is too huge to be included but will have to figure out a way to remove 100%.
I will go back with this feedback and see if I can do anything differently.

Absolutely Sherry, the history and mechanics are astounding. The role the Erie canal played in the 19th century is a fascinating subject in itself.
Thanks for your feedback. |

Good shot Debbie. Very interesting composition. From the lower part of the image to the top, in a way, it gradually loses light... The night sky is nice too! |

Fantastic contrasts and curves. Barns make for excellent compositions. Your image is a strong example of that.
Shadows on the barn, tire marks on the fields are super appealing. I like the see-through door where the green patch behind the barn is also visible.

Very interesting composition. Nice play of lines, artificial lights, natural blue hour lights. Liked it. |

Dave -First of all - nice to see your images again in a different group.
Sky and sunset are just amazing! The view makes it stunning.
A small thing - your narrative tells more about Catalina Island than the scenery. I would not have realized that it is an island. Waterbody resembles a dense fog cover.
Like the way, it lights up a few pieces in the mid-ground too.

Lovely image - beautiful composition.
One small thing though - I felt the sky and mountains had similar blue haze which does not contrast too much.
I tried making it monochrome - found it interesting. Just wanted to share my expt. |

Nice image Sherry. As Tom said, I like the crisp edges of the tree and also the shadows that fall on the ground.
The boat is something where slight attention gets drawn. Like the streak of fog in the background. |

Thank you Dave for the feedback.
Yes, the butterfly kept moving(but may not be because of me it seemed it was searching for something) and the land was quite damp. So it did involve multiple rounds laying flat on the ground. It was shot at f/5.6 and 1/200 shutter. I tried f/2.8 but the focus was too shallow, wanted to do f/8 but the shutter would have been two 2 stops slower. |

Super cute racoon family portrait. I totally loved it...
If this racoon family could put pictures in their living room, this would surely be the centerpiece!

Beautiful shot Dave. Love the snow streaks.
I really like the stillness in the image even when the snow is falling and the storm was around. The eyes of the bird are fantastic. |
