Mark, I like the image, but also agree with Davis that the original is just as good. I would have a tough time choosing between them if I had to pick one. For my taste, I see nothing that I would change. |

Richard, well done. The catch light is perfectly exposed. Nice work on dodging the models face. It matches the rest of her skill very well. The trees in the background are the way I would see them in an impressionist painting. What lens did you use? I like the way you cropped the image, leaving the space at the top. It added a sense of spaciousness and airiness to the image. I would think that the model would be very happy to display this image in her home. |

Sophia, very nice. The exposure, very sharp detail, and soft background work great together. Congratulations. I must confess that I am a little jealous. I have tried bird photography, but my timing is always off. Your timing is excellent. I agree with David's cropping suggestion. It enhances an already great image. |

David, I really like your B&W version. It adds drama, exhibits exhaustion, and shock that the color version just doesn't have. The plane was a great addition. One gets the sense that he just returned from a mission and reinforces why he looks like he does. The B&W adds mystery as to what has happened. Was he the pilot? Was the plane on fire? I find the color image confusing. I can understand the blood, but not the mud. The B&W eliminated that issue and yet provides context that something terrible has occurred. |

Keisha, you definitely captured the moment. I enjoy seeing street images that tell a good story. This one definitely does that. I agree with Richard's and David's adjustments. Your timing was perfect in capturing the man's expresion. It looks like you previsioned the image because of the angle at which you captured the image. |
