Sorry, somehow my husband's name appears as the contributor. It was actually "georgianne Giese" that made this comment and image. |

This is an interesting ICM image. How fun that is!
To me, the colors are too flat. I took it into Topaz Labs, Impressionist 2 and applied a Turner Stroke 2 preset to it. The colors got more vibrance in the result.

The subject you chose is beautiful. The filter you used really brings out those colors and more.
I found the background glitter much too distracting, so I minimized it. This was done by selecting the background, copying it to a new layer (Cntr J), and adding a Hue/Saturation adjustment layer to it, in multiply mode.
Next, I missed the color of the flowers, so I cut out the flowers from the original and pasted them in a new layer over the final image.
Finally, I cleaned up the new image by removing the glare that is in the center of the vase and using Content Aware to clean up the margins of the background fabric.
I've often played with that styalized preset in the Filter Gallery, but never found a good use for it. You have found an excellent use for it, though to my tastes the result needed a bit more work. |

This is such a beautiful image, Carol. I love the soft, desaturated look. You captured such a soft dreamy look in your eyes. I have nothing to say about changing anything. |
