I believe the sharpness is as good as it can be. Sometimes the feathers shine or butterfly wings are dusty and look less sharp. Since the bodies of the cranes are parallel to the camera, I think everything must be in focus. Thanks for asking. |

The eyes have it! Great example of the importance of eyes in a photo. Sharp image and good blurred background. And I love the yellow/tan color. Warm and restful. |

I'm sure she would have plenty of stories to tell if we could sit down with her. I would like to see more of her face. To me, that is the story. The blue is a nice contrast to the face, but maybe too much. |

I like your photo for some of the same reasons you state--simplicity, stark colors. And it resonates with those of us having done some ice fishing and like winter. Looking at it from a composition stand point, I would suggest cropping out some of the top and some of the right side. Note suggestions from Phyllis--very perceptive! |

A fine photo that is sharp, well post-processed and great background. Congratulations to those responsible for selecting the models. This one projects emotion by the use of horns which contributes to the idea of this lady bringing bad effects or something unwholesome. Are the horns the only indication of something unhealthy? |

An emotional image what with the looming clouds, sharp mountain and the ship heading right at us! I almost want to get out of the way. I'm torn between the photo as is and one in which a lot more detail of the ship is presented by waiting for the ship to come closer or moving the camera to right. I would love to have been standing there with you. |

Thanks for the suggestion about cloning. I usually don't have much success when cloning across a face or other complex part of an image. That is why I left the branch where it is. Maybe I'll try again. |
