Appears to me that this is a great architectural find! I love the center part of the building with its many interesting pieces. Its stone, conical roofs and checkerboard stone work at the top of the walls all attract the eye. I don't like building 24. To me it is a distraction. Maybe you can get the governor to tear it down. Could you have moved to the right and got just the center part of the building? Converting to b/w with a cloudy sky gives it a foreboding look. |

First, congratulations on your patience and determination. These are characteristics not found in all photographers. Secondly, you have captured beautiful colors--green, purple, white and yellow and made them appear from the dark original. Next time you might consider doing a closeup of just one of the purple flowers and it's buds below the blossom, if you can handle the wind that day. |

Me too! This is a funny photo. You made the common standout! My only suggestion is to consider cropping from the left at the anchor cable on the screen and see how it looks. It would remove some "dead space" and, for me, a small distraction. |

Fog or mist can be a real plus in photography. Seems to give a photo a mythical or spooky look. Was the fog/mist here moving out/in when you took the photo? A little more fog/mist would be a plus. A more important concern I have is I think I see two subjects in your photo--the lighthouse and the fish farm. You might consider cropping out one, enlarge it and see how it looks. Also I think I see two black spots above the island. Upon enlarging, they seem to be birds. Because they are not large enough to be recognized in your photo, I would remove them unless after cropping/enlarging them they become recognizable. I have done some travelling in NB and wonder what large city is close to where your photo was taken. I like to photograph lighthouses. |

I use PhotoShop 18 and shoot in RAW. In RAW, I use the "luminance" control (move it to 100) and it removes all noise! So I always use whatever high ISO I need knowing noise will not be a problem. |

Love the colors and sharpness of the fireworks. Looks like you found just the right setting too. But the blurriness of the setting detracts from the photo. Suggest you go back some evening and retake the setting. Then, with a sharp image you could re-create the fireworks scene, including, if you can, the very top of the central explosion. |

Very nice, Cindy! Must be a thousand lines in this photo taking the eye to the end of the corridor. And its not just the lines, its also the colors, including red which always seems to attract the eye. And it is the perspective with its strong attraction pulling the eye in. Finally, you succeeded in making the entire photo in focus. Another job well done!
ALSO, CONGRATULATIONS ON THE PUBLICATION OF YOUR PHOTO, "EURASIAN OWL #4" in THE SEPTEMBER ISSUE OF THE PSA Journal. |
