A nice study in texture and detail. My eyes were immediately drawn to the hands (light color?) and then to the saddle. Subject fills the pic and everything appears in sharp focus. Very nice detail. Well done! |

In response to both your comment regarding focus and by Bai, birds feathers between the tip and body are always somewhat fuzzy because feathers are that way. Look at the bird's claws and see how sharp they and the beak appear as well as the wing feather tips. Tips, wing bodies and claws are in similar planes. The same can be said for butterfly wings--tips/edges look sharp but the body of the wings appear fuzzy. For the butterflies, the wing is covered with powder causing the wing to appear fuzzy. |

I see two subjects here--heron in water and woman in red. The red always attracts attention. The heron is sharp, can see individual feathers with nice reflection. I think cropping out what is beyond the pier would help when using the heron as subject. A close-up of the woman in red could be another pic. with a blurred background. |

You came upon this scene at just the right time! Great photo of fishermen, net and water. The action of the fishermen helps with the story. The stone rising out of the water is a distraction for me. I would either crop out the stones and log (in foreground) or focus 1/3 of the way into the photo and get the stones and log in sharp focus along with everything else. Good color, good exposure. Good cropping on sides. |

Beautiful field of flowers. Large groups of such flowers always look good. A good pastoral scene.
Suggestion: Depending on your purpose, you could focus about 1/3 the way into the scene, f-stop at maybe 11, and everything would be in focus, including the trees in the background as well as flowers close to the camera. A second option would be to sharply focus on the closest flower with a large aperture opening which would cause the closest flower to be sharp and everything else out-of-focus. Works well with a large group of flowers. |

As is said frequently by photographers, "get closer, get closer." Too much extraneous material for me. Getting around a bit to the side would enhance the idea of telling a story. |

Nice lead in with the dock and framed with reflections of the posts. Subject fills the frame and everything looks sharp. Appears to be some sky red in the upper right corner. Too bad the sunset did not occur directly in line with the dock!! Would have made the sky much more interesting. But, you get what you can. I agree with Cindy to clone out the signs--they are for me a distraction. |
