45 Mar 19 Comment A winner, Cindy! Pleasing colors. The raked gravel leads me to the bridge which pulls my eyes across to the colorful foliage. The far shore also takes me to the bridge. The tall tree continues my eye movement to the clouds. I don't need the swan. Mar 3rd
45 Mar 19 Comment Good job, Ed, well done! A good b/w photo. Sharp, subject obvious, tells a story, fills the screen, good depth of field. Excellent work. Mar 3rd
45 Mar 19 Comment Nicely done, Charlie. The colors are great. I like how the skunk cabbage leaves seem to reach higher and point me to the far shore. Couple of suggestions: one, seems the horizon is not level; two, crop about half of the area between the left margin and the cabbage which I don't think is necessary--empty space. Mar 3rd
45 Mar 19 Comment Good monochrome showing such graceful and sweeping arches. Looks sharp, fills the photo. Why did you not include the tip of the primary arch? Was there something up there you did not want to include? Was there anything at the bottom which you did not want to include? Mar 3rd
45 Mar 19 Comment Someone working is always an interesting photo. Can easily tell a story. I think the subject is the hands, but the clutter on the workbench and the bright light draws me away from the hands. I appreciate that the background has a "blueish" look which helps keep the eyes on the hands. I think reducing the light from the lamp and putting on a vignette would help. Might help also if the photo was taken with the aperture set at its lowest level in order to blur the background. Mar 3rd
