Shot on my north-facing back-porch. I set up the flower facing north. No extra lights. Don |

Well done, Ray. A lot of factors make this a good photo--vertical and horizontal lines, diagonal line, bright red cloth on lap and head and eyes looking down to hands. Even more blurring of the hands and right arm would enhance the action and story. How would increasing the ISO improve sharpness? |

Thanks Cindy. I think I focused about 1/3 the way in and hoped for sharpness. |

Yes. Doesn't distract my eyes like it did. |

Another picture of the month Cindy? I like the composition as everything on the table seems to go together--good back wall color, metal(?) pitcher, old crate and a lemon for contrast. I am uncertain about the table top. I think I would prefer something old and not shinny. |

Very nice, I like it. Sharp, good colors, suggests action and story. Well done! Wouldn't change a thing except to clone out the bright mark between her feet. |

I think the b/w is exactly what is needed. I really like the chrome/white look and all the lines and angles. One suggestion: crop out the top down to the bottom of the windshield. That gets rid of most of the background and really shows off the front of the car with all its lines, etc. Your work gives me an idea of how I might approach such a scene. |

Congratulations on trying for the painterly look. I think you succeeded. I occasionally try something new or different; keeps up my interest. What other kinds of angles were available? In your pic, the green pine tree in the middle captures my eye and I wish it didn't. There is also something "floating" on the surface in the upper left hand corner that could be removed as it catches my eye also. Anything different on your agenda for June? |
