I agree with you and Cindy; should have included the full curvature. |

I have been trying some photo stacking to improve sharpness. I took three photos of this lily and processed them with Zerene Stack app. I could not see a great difference between the stacked photo and a single photo I took focusing in slightly from the stamen. I think that Zerene works best when doing macro work rather than close-up.

Congratulations on trying something different. "Braking the mold" is where we sometimes discover exciting possibilities! Where is the light coming from? Car lights? Appears the horizon is not level. True? On left side, half-way up, is that part of a butte? If so, you might have included it as an interesting part of the background. Moving closer next time will increase the impact of the fence and gate area. |

Since my comment, I have come upon the advise of someone else who suggested the blue comes from improper white balance. |

One is certainly drawn to the blue eyes! But I like the wavy hair on the chest just as much. Everything is sharp. Did you focus on the eyes? That would seem to be about 1/3 the way into the subject. A great photo! |

Well done!! I like the rich red color and color though out the photo, the leading lines (shore and wall), good sky and interesting foreground. I like it. |

What's not to like??!! Nice tree framing, strong foreground, good depth of field, and nice sky. Well done. |

I really like what you have done and like your thought process. The low angle is very powerful. Did you have any thoughts about the blue shadows? Are they really blue? |
