I don't always think about "abstract" possibilities. Thanks. |

A black and white photo that is well done! The light on her face is excellent and you cleaned up the floor area and back light line. Nice work. Wonder if you could isolate the skirt and darkened it somewhat to see if the detail would appear. It would also make it blend in and not distract the viewer. |

I, too, like the original if the material in the top left could be darkened to eliminate its attraction to my eye. The remaining is well worth exploring along its diagonal line. Interesting to me is the fact that you even saw this and took the pic! |

Thanks for the "focal point" comment. I'll try and keep that in mind. By using RAW, I can change almost all overblown shots. RAW also allows me to work with tone and temp., contrast, sharpening, noise reduction, etc. |

A beautiful landscape! Subject fills the photo, sharp, nice color though out and the left to right line takes my eye though the photo. But I don't like the little red house. I'd want it out if I could find a way to do it. And I don't think the strip of water on the bottom does anything for the photo. The rest of it is gorgeous. |

Charlie, did you actually do focus stacking? The anthers of the stamen are sharp and the petal edges, but not the yellow/green area. I would agree with Ray that moving in closer would showoff the pretty petals and would eliminate the three white areas around the edge. I too have an interest in the stacking process but have not completed any yet. |

I think there is good potential here that is unrealized. To me the photo is not so simple because of the many marks in the snow besides those from the skis. A close-up of the ski's and pole's marks might be interesting. Also does not seem sharp on my computer screen and the tan/pink look to the snow is slightly distracting. |

Interesting to see the combined silver of the building and the blue of the sky. Looks good. Like Ray, the building is not straight like you wanted it to be and, I too, would see a better photo using just the top half of your photo. Most buildings do not make good photos by themselves. Need good reflections or patterns. |
