45 Jul 17 Comment Nice arrangement of the shells with their colors and textures. Sharp, colorful and good, black background. My eyes kept moving to the right to the shell there. I then blacked it out and thought the remaining shells looked even better. This shell is so complex and busy that removing it helps me. Jul 11th
45 Jul 17 Comment Good image! I especially like the horizontal lines of the boat that cause my eyes to sweep from left to right! All the horizontal lines contribute to this nice photo. Sharp, image fills the photo, good color on the boat which is the subject. I would delete two items: the flag and pole in upper left and the street light upper right. For me, they don't contribute anything positive. Jul 11th
45 Jul 17 Comment Well done, Charlie! You followed the rules (can be broken, but a good place to start)--used wide-angle focal length, low angle for landscape, sharp through out and interesting foreground. Did you use a polarizer? You got good color throughout and the primary foreground element is off center. Good job. Jul 11th
45 Jul 17 Comment Nice action shot, sharp, colors and interesting hands and arms. Because I cannot see the man's face, I think I would like to see the top half of the photo cropped out. The tongs, red metal, strong arms and hand, the moving hammer, anvil and glove is the subject for me. Jul 11th
45 Jul 17 Comment I, too, think the original is the better picture. For me, the close-up gives me a sense of two subjects. My eyes keep jumping from the flower to the bumble bee and back. In this case, the flower is the better subject since there is more color in the original and there is a shadow to add more interest. Since the bee is headed away from the viewer, it doesn't make for the best subject. Jul 11th
45 Jul 17 Comment "A day in the life of . . ." Good photo! Sharp, all vertical lines, no distractions, action and story. Well done. Jul 8th
45 Jul 17 Reply What "tweeting" did you do? I can learn something from you. Jul 8th
45 Jul 17 Comment Thanks for your comments. Adding a slight vignette is a good idea. Jul 5th
