Thanks, Darlene. I agree about the contrast. Whether the two trees are tilted in real life, it might be worth me tweaking them, especially the one on the left. Lots to think about. |

Thanks, Peter. I was playing around with the underlying color sliders in Lightroom and ended up with the lighter color. I will have to go back and take another look. |

Excellent choices, Jim! I like the way the "V" in the waves mirrors the rock peak in the background. Processing is spot on for the subject. This would print beautifully. |

I like this a lot. I agree with Jim about removing the white bit in the upper left, but am otherwise quite moved by this. |

Wow. Well seen and very effectively processed, Peter. I found the elements around the edges to be somewhat distracting from the main event, so I cropped tighter than Jim and upped the contrast a bit. |

Darlene,
I like your rendering a lot - it's a lovely landscape image with terrific leading lines. I do, however, have to admit that I am really drawn to Jim's second treatment. It becomes a much more mysterious abstract image. Either way, you did a terrific job.

Thanks, Emil. I certainly couldn't have imagined an AI scene like this. Real world serendipity rules! |

Good tips. I almost always wear a Tilly hat when I'm out shooting, especially IR. It makes a great sun shield! |

Lovely abstract image, Emil. The square crop works really well. Great separation of foreground and background. |

Beautiful image, Gary. I'm impressed with the quality of your sunstar as I find IR sun flare to be pretty extreme when I'm pointing the camera that way. Overall, the composition is interesting and the quality of processing is your usual high quality. |

Jack,
I really like the tree and man. Very good choice to leave them in. I do wish you'd stepped back further (assuming that was possible) to include the entire tree, but what you've included works well. I would darken the two light areas at the bottom of the frame and agree with Arik that you might bring out the shadows a bit just above them. |

Arik,
It's a nicely composed image and processed beautifully. I haven't played with the Find Distractions/People feature yet, but I will certainly do so going forward.
It's amazing how IR, having completely bleached out clothing, leaves people looking vaguely naked. It certainly is startling at times. |

This is a standout image and IR was the perfect choice. Others have pointed out some artifacts in the sky and brush, but that's easily handled. You are well on the way to creating a winning image that will print beautifully. |
