11 Sep 24 Comment Thanks for all of your comments, folks. Lots of great suggestions and ideas that add up to a mini-workshop on seeing an image. Sep 28th
11 Sep 24 Comment Wonderful moment, beautifully captured. No suggestions. Sep 22nd
11 Sep 24 Comment What a terrific subject! Your processed version is excellent and I really like the leading line created by the ripples. No suggestions. Sep 22nd
11 Sep 24 Comment Terrific portrait. My first thought was to preserve the cap, but the more I looked at it, the more I liked what you did. Sep 22nd
11 Sep 24 Comment I love scenes like this and enjoy your rendering a lot. About the only suggestion I can think of is to add a dark vignette around it, especially the foreground. Sep 22nd
11 Sep 24 Comment Wonderful image, Darlene. I have no suggestions other than to print it! It would be terrific on the wall. Sep 22nd

66 Sep 24 Comment Can't add much to everyone else's comments. I agree with Gary: Print it! Sep 22nd
66 Sep 24 Comment Palli,
I like what you are trying to do here. Terrific contrast between an "industrial" look and the organic. I would probably crop up about a third from the bottom to simplify the composition, but otherwise it's spot on.

66 Sep 24 Comment Nicely composed, Gary. I like it much better than my own attempts there last year. I like the dark somber tones as well, but I would dial back the brown tones about half way to neutral. That's just me, however. Sep 22nd
66 Sep 24 Comment Nicely composed and processed, Charles. I also like the panoramic crop here, but maybe not as extreme as Gary's. Sep 22nd
66 Sep 24 Comment I think I'll vote for the sepia version. I usually dislike sepias, but I have to agree with Melanie about highlight details. You also kept the effect subtle. Too many others try to hit the viewer over the head with it.
Also, I agree with Palli's flipping. It flows much better.

66 Sep 24 Comment Arik,
I love stuff like this and I really enjoy your composition here. I had the same thought as Gary about how much I'd prefer it in monochrome. I see your point about separation, but it might well be worth trying with a lighter sky.

66 Sep 24 Comment Very late to the party here. I don't have anything more to add to the others' comments other than to say well done! A very interesting and thought-provoking "moment". Sep 22nd
