Thanks, Christian. You're probably right about drama. The wire square was there. I assume the wires added stability to the blades. I didn't see a need to remove them. |

Congratulations on your achievement, Jim! These individual images are each excellent in their own right. The group is very impressive and has a strong impact. |

Nice composition and processing, Jim. Your selective exposure adjustments work really well here. |

I really like the composition, but I find it feels too faded. I fell in somewhere between your version and Jim's. I (imperfectly) selected the sky and slightly adjusted it. I took the structures and added a great deal more contrast. |

Your processing really brought out the texture of the animal's hide, Peter. The tight crop works well here. |

Palli,
The challenge of photographing artwork is finding ways to make it your own and not just a documentary shot. In this you've succeeded brilliantly! Crop, processing and toning are all spot on in my opinion. |

Beautifully rendered, Gary. I love subjects like this and this worked well. How great to have old film IR images to work with!
My only suggestion is to deal with those dark areas in the sky. I'm a big fan of vignettes, even heavy one once in a while, but the unevenness left to right and the halo to the right of the big tree distracted from an otherwise outstanding image. |

Charles,
This is really nice. Great composition of an interesting subject. I concur with Melanie that the bridge could use a bit more brightening, but otherwise it works well. |

Jack,
Really like the "raw material" this image presents. That tree has created a terrific frame for the ruins. It's well worth revisiting when you have the opportunity. Just for fun, I took it into Photoshop and played with it a bit. I opened up the shadows while increasing overall contrast. I also converted it to black and white, removed the people and added a vignette. |

I really like this as well, especially the compositional contrast between the "V" tree and the "S" sapling to the left of it. I concur with Jack and Gary, but those are niggles in my mind. |

Thanks, Melanie. I have to admit that I'm somewhat allergic to putting borders around my images having seen it done so badly by so many. I'll give it a try on this one. |
