Emil,
Thanks for the suggestion. I like it!
Thanks to everyone else for the kind comments. This is an image that languished in my Lightroom catalog since last summer. I'm grateful for this group for prompting me to go back and look at stuff. |

Emil,
I love photographing stuff like this in IR. I really like this image and your processing. Your compositional flipping really works well. |

Palli,
This one really doesn't work for me. You seem to have taken an IR image and turned it into a conventional color image. The bright highlights in the center of the image are also distracting. I really like the subject, however, and I think it would be great to go back on an overcast day and try for a more evenly lit photo. I think a B&W treatment would be more compelling under those circumstances. |

Gary - Contrails can be really annoying in landscape work, but you show how to turn them into a compelling composition in this wonderful image. Your excellent processing really brings out the contrast between the blacks and whites. |

First of all, I love the juxtaposition of the car and building. The contrast of lines works really well. I played around with the lines as well. I appreciate what Stephen says about perspective, but I think I preferred true verticals. I cropped in on the right a bit to add a bit of symmetry between left and right. |

Arik,
Great subject for IR and your image shows why. IR and fog work really well together. I do find your composition to be really busy and I found my eye drawn to the stand of trees in the center. I did a tighter crop and added a vignette. Let me know what you think. |

Melanie - I really like the composition and the processing but have to admit that I'm not as fond of the toning. I'm pretty partial to using neutral tones in my own BW work so it affects how I respond to other images.
I really like how you positioned the trees to frame the sky here. Well done. |
