11 Sep 22 Comment Great job with the HDR processing. Lots of great detail here. I liked Jim's suggestions and did something similar plus I took a pass at fixing the haloing around the tree on the left and the cables coming down from the front of the shovel. I used the clone stamp tool, set at Darken mode with an opacity of 80 and cloned from the areas immediately adjacent to the problem spots. I didn't do a perfect job, but was able to deal with most of the obvious haloing. Sep 10th
11 Sep 22 Comment Nicely processed, Jim. Excellent control over the shadows and highlights. Sep 10th
11 Sep 22 Comment I like this a lot. My only suggestion would be to crop in about halfway up the lawn and take out about a third of the sky to get in tighter on the castle. Sep 10th
11 Sep 22 Comment Wonderful subject for B&W! I lightened it a bit overall and incorporated Jim's suggestion for lightening the face. I toned down the arms a bit to balance Neptune's body's tones. I also lightened the cherub. Sep 10th
11 Sep 22 Comment I love the lighting and processing. The only suggestion would be to remove the "dogleg" on the right edge to create a straight streak across the back of the image. Here's a rough example. Sep 10th
11 Sep 22 Reply Thanks, Jim. I like what you did. I usually get dinged for not enough contrast, so I appreciate your approach. Sep 10th

66 Sep 22 Comment Ferns are one of my favorite things to shoot in IR. I agree with Gary's crop and processing of the trunks, but otherwise like this a lot. Sep 5th
66 Sep 22 Comment Nice composition and treatment. I especially like the rendering of the reflection in the water. My only suggestion, which is similar to Gary's, is to add a vignette around the image. Sep 5th
66 Sep 22 Comment There's a definite mood to the image, but I find it too blocked up in the blacks for my taste. Sep 5th
66 Sep 22 Comment I agree with the others. You found a terrific point of view and made the most of it. Well done. Sep 5th
66 Sep 22 Comment My Lightroom catalog has probably got hundreds of empty park bench images. There's just something compelling about them that I can't resist and your image is a great example. I really like what you did with the revised version. Sep 5th
66 Sep 22 Comment I don't think I can add much to the other comments. Great find!
I hope you did manage to spot at least a few frogs. When we were in Costa Rica a few years ago, the frogs stayed well hidden away when we came through. Lots of birds and monkeys, no frogs.
