All the work that you have done in cloning and darkening the background have paid off. This is stunning. But the real credit goes to your subject. You chose pansies with wonderful colors that work well and they are sharp. Great job! |

At first I felt that the black cauldron should be more the focus but it you moved in closer for the shot you would lose the beautiful window and the cool doorway behind the post on the left. With the lines on the ceiling and the columns on either side it is really nicely composed. Good job! |

Hi Charlie, you can find out where you need to go at this app: www.darksky.org. In order to take the Milky Way and have the stars pop it's good to find a place with low light pollution. And, go out when the moon is only a sliver. I'm sorry I forgot to include the camera info: I used a wide angle lens (14mm), shutter speed: 15 sec. aperture: F/4.0, ISO 5000. It's very fun to capture the Milky Way but you have to plan ahead. Location was in the vicinity of Glacier NP in Montana. |

Excellent image of the Heron. I agree with cropping out the right side. But I don't think it needs a vignette. I like the log that the bird is standing on to be as it is in the original. And I liked how you flipped the image to the left! |

Thanks for your comments! I didn't notice those empty patches in the sky. I will have to look back at my original to see what happened there. |

I love the tulips! They are so beautiful and you captured both colors against a backdrop of green. I'm just wondering why there isn't more definition in the flowers. You can see definition in the green leaves. Great image, though! |

Very nice capture. Even though the man is on the right side of the window his body has a kind of lean to his stance that brings your vision to the background. You've done such a good job to eliminate distractions and focus on the patterns of shadows and shapes. Well done! |

Nice nighttime shot! I really like the clouds that surround the tower. The moon and moon glow give the sky a special interest. I don't like the trees coming in from the bottom but I think you need to keep the triangular shape of the building in the lower third. I agree that the white windows could be cropped off. |
