They would stand out even better if you could somehow darken the background. I also wouldn't crop it quite so tight. Nice job! Jan 4th
45 Jan 22 Comment What a peaceful, serene setting. You have an unerring eye for country landscapes. My eye is certainly comfortable looking at this scene. The fence is crucial to leading your eye from the bench to the red covered bridge. I actually like the golden leaves on the upper part of the image but I do like the radial gradient that David used to darken everything except the bridge. Great job! Jan 4th
45 Jan 22 Comment That is one place I would love to visit...in fact, visiting all of Scotland would be amazing. I like this night shot and I can see that the flag on the right-hand building is blowing in the wind. Nice view from below and using the tripod gave you good focus on the whole castle. Jan 4th
45 Jan 22 Reply Thanks, David for your comments and suggestion. I will give that a try. Jan 4th
45 Jan 22 Comment Handsome dog! And he is all decked out for the Holidays! I would have preferred to see all of the dog. It's difficult when you take a shot quickly to see that the dog's paw has been cut off. Plus there is a bit too much empty space to the left. He is well exposed and worthy of a photo. Nice job! 45 Jan 22 Comment I was at that museum in Virginia just last summer. I remember all the huge planes. You have done an incredible job to isolate the SR-71 Blackbird in your image. There is a lot to distract your eye in the museum. Darkening the background and enhancing the floor triangle sets off the plane and makes you look at the smooth lines of it. Well done! Jan 4th
45 Jan 22 Comment A very good fireworks photo! I like how you were far enough away to get everything in and a excellent job of overlaying the photos. It's colorful and well-focused. Great job! Jan 4th
