The suitcase is the perfect background for the keys with the symmetrical lines, texture and tones of brown. The keys tell a story. Your treatment of the image was very good. |

You certainly got that bird's attention. I like his direct gaze and the beautiful feather detail. Well done! I would have cropped him off center and I would not darken his body quite so much. You had good detail in the original photo. But darkening around the bird was the right touch. |

Thanks for the suggestion. I might try a composite image with someone or something in the doorway. |

Absolutely stunning image of the flowers! Your focus-stacking pain paid off because I don't notice any out-of-focus in it. And I like how the flowers have a nice 'line'; one flower looking down and a little left while the other is facing upward to the right. |

Wonderful capture of the Heron! I like your composition with the Heron on the right side of the scene. I also like David's edit with removal of branches around the edge of the bird and darkening of the background over all. |

David, my feeling is that the leaf behind is not adding to your photo. The clean lines of one leaf in the reflection is good. But I would experiment with trimming the back leaf or leaves. I would be interested to know how you arranged lighting. (Is it natural, flash or both). Thanks. |

I'm not very familiar with still life photos (including set-ups, background, reflective surfaces). I am familiar with focus stacking and I am impressed with what you have created, especially the overall focus, the beautiful reflection of the green leaves and the cute icue in the radish tail. Colors are terrific. It would be good to put a little more light on the leaves on the right hand side. |

Incredible scene with the colorful glass on the ceiling! The perspective keeps you looking at the colorful glass as it goes in concentric circles to the background. And then, you have the greyed out blurry figures of moving people. I wouldn't change a thing, even the static man! |

Cindy,
I did take other building of the same area from low angles and far-away shots. I'll have to think of taking more than one angle on a building next time. Thanks. |

Interesting idea to get closer. I did think about that but didn't take a close-up shot. Next time. |

David,
The desaturation of the image is interesting. The contrasts in the left part of the image stand out and I notice the repeating triangles. Great suggestion! |
